Careers in HRRecruitment & retentionThe HR profession

Huxley Associates launches HR recruitment arm

by Personnel Today 25 Aug 2007
by Personnel Today 25 Aug 2007

Huxley Associates, the award-winning recruitment consultancy, is delighted to announce the launch of its HR recruitment division.

The company has built a reputation for excellence across several key sectors and its expert team of HR professionals will now offer clients the same unrivalled service required to meet their HR recruitment needs. Part of the SThree group of companies, Huxley Associates moved into HR following demand from clients and the six-strong team will work several different markets within the sector.

Andy Simpson, who is heading up the newly launched division from the company’s London office, said that HR is a significantly more skilled career than it was five years ago as a result of a more litigious society.

“Over the past five years human resources has evolved into a much more central and strategic business area,” he said. “This is down to a number of reasons, including living and working in increasingly litigious times and increasing awareness of the Government to both empower and protect employees and their rights while at work.

“There was a time when human resources areas were considered as a support function and a company’s HR department was often informed about decisions after they had been made. In today’s market place, where the world is a much smaller place, HR has clearly emerged as a central figure in strategic business decision-making in an economy where the strength of your business is now causally related to the quality of your people.”Human resources is now much more central in the design, delivery and communication of a company’s strategy.”

Huxley Associates’ consultants are already renowned for their ability to attract and place elite candidates across the IT, Finance, Engineering and Accountancy sectors. They deal with HR departments on a daily basis and this has enabled them to gain an in-depth understanding of the market and the difficulties many organisations encounter in their attempts to attract, recruit and retain the highest calibre of candidates.

Andy said that his team will exploit the company’s global presence, massive advertising spend and sophisticated database to present clients with the elite people they require to enable their organisations to prosper. Huxley Associates is proud to list numerous leading investment banks and many blue chip commercial organisations among its key clients. However, despite its rapid growth, the company remains flexible enough to deal with the recruitment needs of much smaller organisations and its recruitment model was built on small to medium sized enterprises.
