Actor Jeremy Irons is facing a claim for unfair dismissal from a former estate worker.
Tiernan Roe, who worked on the multi-million restoration of the Lolita star’s Irish residence, Kilcoe Castle, has lodged the complaint with the Employment Appeals Tribunal in Cork.
Roe claims that the actor stopped him from working at the Castle several months ago in acrimonious circumstances and is suing Irons in a personal capacity.
The case is due to be heard at the Quality Hotel in Clonakilty this afternoon.

They have spent millions restoring the 15th century residence, but upset locals when they painted the castle a shade of terracotta peach.
