Two training providers have formed an alliance designed to help
organisations deliver blended training to their workforce where in-house
trainers don’t have the capacity to do so.
Balance Learning – which describes itself as a dedicated blended learning
publisher – will provide the courses and Excel Communications, the soft skills
classroom specialist, will co-ordinate them.
The courses incorporate Balance Learning’s three-dimensional approach,
featuring e-learning to build knowledge, classroom resources to help develop
skills, and workplace activities to put new skills into practice.
"Our experienced tutors can now seamlessly set up and deliver a Balance
Learning programme, providing a multi-sensory learning experience ," says
Neil Tappenden, managing director of Excel Communications. "This can
accelerate people performance and reduce both the cost of training and staff
‘time-out’."
The alliance offers the option of having the live training element (called
the Skills Dimension), facilitated by Excel Communications’ tutors. Balance
will provide a full set of customisable PowerPoint slides, a trainer’s script
in Word format, exercises, role plays and case studies, which trainers can use
to enhance their face-to-face sessions.
