The first group of Kent police have graduated in management studies in a unique collaboration between Kent Police and Canterbury Christ Church University College.
The 27 graduates, who are part of Kent police’s middle to senior management staff, were awarded with either a certificate or diploma in management studies.
Keith Jennings, director ofpost-graduate programmes at Canterbury Christ Church University College Business School, said the qualifications would bring long-term benefits to the employees by improving their promotional prospects as well as the way officers and staff feel about their abilities.
The programme is delivered in three parts and is open to police officers and police staff.
Part one comprises a Certificate in Management Studies designed for all police managers/supervisors.
Part two is a Diploma in Management Studies, and is designed for inspectors and above.
