Ladbrokes in win-win situation as Kronos provides system to shuffle staff and mitigate risks thrown up by evening gambling opportunity
Ladbrokes is betting that its new time-management and payroll system will make its extended opening hours a big winner.
Now able to open in the evenings for the first time due to recent changes in the 2005 Gambling Act, the bookmaker will work with workforce planning adviser Kronos to optimise time and pay management for its 15,000 UK employees.
“We required a centralised timekeeping and scheduling system to improve efficiency,” said Ladbrokes http://www.ladbrokes.com operations director Dominic Matthews.

Automated time recording will remove layers of manual administration, improve the quality of data available and create real-time analysis of labour costs versus budget, according to Kronos http://www.kronos.com/uk.
Managers will have improved accountability for running their shops and supervisors will spend more time adding value to the business, the firm says.
