Renowned cook Prue Leith is teaming up with Creative Learning Media (CLM) and the British Food Trust to develop a series of virtual reality e-learning kitchen skills courses.
The first of these, Foundation Kitchen Skills, is aimed at catering assistants and trainee junior chefs. It is an introduction to the kitchen environment and key skills such as cleaning and food preparation techniques.
CLM, a leading people management and learning provider in the hospitality, leisure, food manufacturing, retail and care sectors, is using 3D techniques to recreate a virtual kitchen on screen. Learners can interact with equipment and watch demonstrations of key techniques.
