How long?
The length of course is flexible, allowing delegates between 12 and 18 months to complete the qualification. It is organised in four three-day blocks, starting in October or March. Once the teaching part of the course has been completed, delegates have six to 12 months to complete their dissertation, supported by a personal tutor.
Entry requirements
This programme is designed for senior HR managers who are members of the CIPD by examination, or who have at least five years experience in a senior HR role. Delegates are expected to be aware of, and competent in, the latest developments in HR practice.

Modules
The programme comprises three core courses – strategic human resource management, research methods and the dissertation (either six or 12 months). Delegates have a choice of one of three further options – reward strategy, flexibility in employment, and strategic HRD.
Career opportunities
The programme aims to develop a strategic understanding of the role of HRM in modern business organisations and its integration with other strategies. Senior managers who complete the MA will ultimately be aiming to run the HR function for an organisation.
