How long?
12 months part time programme, attendance is one evening per week .
Entry Qualifications
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
OR
Managers with substantial responsibility for human resources may enter the programme via Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

The Impact of EU Employment Law for UK Managers
Management and Organisational Learning
Environment of the International Manager
Pacific Rim Studies
Global Market Development
Regional Studies – Developing Transitional Economies
Regional Studies – Western Europe
Research Methods
You will also undertake a dissertation of 20,000 words (plus a 1,500 word critical review). This will involve an in-depth research project in a relevant human resources area. The Research Methods module provides appropriate training and you will be allocated a dissertation tutor who provides support throughout the programme.
Career Opportunities
The MA (HRM) builds on a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification. However, if you do not have a CIPD qualification but enter the course through accreditation of prior learning, you may submit your MA (HRM) to the CIPD for consideration under their Professional Qualification Accreditation Scheme.
