Marriott’s HR director goes back to the floor

Marriott Hotels’ HR director Amanda Ravey has gone back to the floor at the
company’s west London hotel to examine the challenges facing an HR manager.

Ravey swapped her role as part of Marriott Hotels’ biggest ever national careers
drive during the Springboard Festival, which tries to get youngsters interested
in the sector.

All 60 Marriott hotels in the UK took part in a week-long programme of
activities, targeting about 2,000 college and school leavers.

The Springboard charity works to attract more young people into the
hospitality industry by providing careers advice, support and a fun insight
into leisure, travel and tourism.
