Broadcast union Bectu claims that Mersey TV owners, All-3-Media, has told 44 people they potentially face losing their jobs, despite reassuring them less than 12 months ago that there was no threat of redundancy.
The company, which produces hit teen-soap Hollyoaks, also wants to break an existing workplace agreement negotiated between Bectu and the previous management, the union claims. The company said the changes were part of a ‘creative vision’ rather than a cost-cutting drive.
