Trade and industry secretary Alan Johnson has announced the appointment of Paul Myners to the chair of the Low Pay Commission.
The commission is non-governmental organisation responsible for providing advice about the National Minimum Wage (NMW).
“The Low Pay Commission has been instrumental in ensuring the National Minimum Wage has been a great success. The way the Commission has worked together as a team provides proof that social partnership can work and I’m sure that Mr Myners will continue this good work,” Johnson said.
