Tomorrow’s
bosses will be ‘compassionate managers’ who will offer staff more flexible
hours, office-based spas and even yoga lessons in the office to ensure
happiness and productivity.
Research
by workplace designers Landflex, found that seven out of ten young people said they
would let their staff ‘fit their work around their lives’ by offering them more
opportunity to work from home and greater flexibility over their working hours.
Future
bosses also said that they would offer better amenities for their staff, such
as an on-site health spa or gym – with 22 per cent saying they would ‘battle
against work stress’ by introducing yoga classes for employees.
Some
habits will remain, with only 11 per cent saying they would make the entire
office open plan and just 10 per cent wanting to shun traditional job titles.

issues in the workplace today and one that Britain’s future captains of
industry seem to have taken on board.”
