Northgate Information Solutions’ HR division has been renamed NorthgateArinso.
The new name follows Northgate’s acquisition of Belgium-based HR outsourcing provider Arinso in May 2007.
Chris Stone, chief executive at Northgate Information Solutions, said: “We are now perfectly positioned to answer the challenges facing today’s HR departments, who must deal with the forces of compliance, reporting, cost pressures, demographics, globalisation and the war for talent.
“In less favourable economic circumstances, people are absolutely key to business success, making efficient and effective HR ever more important.”
In March, Northgate was itself bought by private equity company KKR for £1.1bn, and its shares were delisted from the stock exchange.

Stone said Northgate aimed to become the leading global provider of HR and payroll services by 2012. The firm has offices in 31 countries and operations in 50, with plans for further geographic expansion.
Recently it signed global outsourcing deals with Cadbury’s and Scotiabank.
