Occupational health nurses in Sheffield are testing a new CD-Rom designed to
help cut sickness absence.
The CD-Rom has been launched by the Sheffield Occupational Health Advisory
Service (SOHAS).
First Stop for Occupational Safety and Health includes a database of
information to advise workers in a range of occupations about how to avoid
occupational injury.
SOHAS manager, Nick Pearson, said demand for OH services was rising rapidly
even though the nationwide rate of work-related ill health was falling.
