Corporate rescue and recovery firm, Begbies Traynor, has appointed a
national HR director as part of its UK expansion programme. Amanda Towse
(pictured) will be based at the company’s head office in Manchester and will
work with the partners to develop the HR function, including health and safety
and payroll management.
Jill Nealon has been appointed as new group HR director at RAC. She succeeds
Debbie Hewitt, who has become managing director of RAC Roadside Services.
Nealon was previously vice-president of HR and training at the airline
consortium Star Alliance Services, based in Frankfurt.

TMI, the people development company, has announced the appointment of
Susanna Mitterer as its new managing director. Mitterer – a director at TMI
since December 2000 – has been promoted to lead the company in a bid to become
the UK’s leader for organisational and people development solutions.
Kwik-Fit Financial Services has appointed a full-time minister of fun to
promote activities that will inject a sense of fun into the workplace. Rob
Hunter was specially selected to fill the position that will see him increasing
the fun quotient at the company. Hunter’s background at Haven Holidays and as a
blue coat for Pontins marked him as the ideal candidate for the job.
