Mark Burton has been appointed the new global HR business partner for finance at AstraZeneca, the UK pharmaceutical company. He will provide HR leadership and business partnering to the global finance function and implement business-focused people strategies. He has been promoted internally from acting HR director and head of HR excellence at AstraZeneca UK.

Pamela Longcroft has joined wireless communications company LCC UK as HR manager. She will cover all aspects of HR, and will report to the finance controller. Longcroft previously worked for the Careers Research and Advisory Centre charity as head of HR and office services.

Online recruitment company Stepstone has appointed two new directors to the board: Ulrich Holtz, general manager of HR for Microsoft International, and Pat Chapman-Pincher, founding partner of the Cavell Group consultancy.
