– Construction group Mowlem has appointed Sue Lane as group director of HR. She was previously managing director (HR) with motoring accident company Helphire Group.

– Morley Fund Management, one of Europe’s largest fund managers, has appointed Chris Oglethorpe as managing director of HR and communications. He joins Morley from investment bank Lazard in London, where he was most recently European HR director and chief operating officer. Previously, Oglethorpe worked for Royal Bank of Scotland and has also held senior HR roles at Unilever and BT.
– Lesley Strathie has been appointed chief executive of Jobcentre Plus. She has been acting chief executive since the previous incumbent David Anderson’s departure in May. She will report directly to Sir Richard Mottram, permanent secretary at the Department for Work and Pensions.
