On the move: Danny Griffiths, Alison Suttie and Mike Conway

Nissan has appointed Danny Griffiths HR director, UK operations. Griffiths is personnel director at Nissan’s Sunderland plant and will oversee all HR functions for Nissan in the UK as part of a drive to improve efficiency and effectiveness across Europe.

Law firm Reed Smith has appointed Alison Suttie as HR director responsible for Europe and the Middle East. Suttie, who will lead a team of 18, has spent the past nine months at the company in an advisory role, dealing with HR strategies and operations.


Mike Conway has joined Standard Life as group HR director. Conway will sit on the group executive committee and report to the group chief executive. Before joining Standard Life, he was vice-president of resourcing and development in HR for Royal Dutch Shell.
