On the move: David Cooper, Frank Douglas, Jane Thompson

The Royal College of Nursing has appointed David Cooper as HR director. He is tasked with developing and implementing HR policy and strategy. Previously, Cooper held the positions of HR and corporate affairs director at East London and The City Mental Health NHS Trust.

Scottish and Newcastle brewery has appointed Frank Douglas as group HR director. He is responsible for shaping the people strategy and optimising staff contribution to achieve key business objectives. Previously Douglas was HR director, international, for Cable & Wireless.

Sandwich manufacturer Freshway Foods has appointed Jane Thompson as HR manager. Thompson has responsibility for the management of employee relations for more than 300 staff. Before joining, she worked as an HR adviser at electrical distributor RS Components.
