Janet Birch has joined the Ministry of Justice as head of resourcing. She joins from the London Development Agency, where she was HR and operational develop director. Birch will be responsible for resourcing strategy, workforce planning and recruitment.

Security contractor Ultimate Security has appointed Linda Jordan-Hay its first director of HR and projects. Jordan-Hay, formally head of security and compliance at Gatwick Airport, will be responsible for HR issues, project business development and company branding. She will also help develop the company’s levels of service and commitment to its staff.
Morag Day has joined Scottish care at home provider Independent Living Services (ILS) as HR manager. She joins ILS from Ineos, where she held the same post. Day will be working on developing the ILS’s HR policies and procedures, improving the current structure and aiming to make the company an employer of choice.
