Richard Smelt has joined Northern Rock as HR director, having previously been group HR director at Carphone Warehouse. Smelt will join Northern Rock’s executive team, and will oversee the HR function during a major company-wide restructuring exercise.

Margaret Dalgity has joined Redhall Group as group HR director. Dalgity was previously with British Nuclear Group Project Services in an interim role, and will be responsible for the development of Redhall’s strategic HR policy.
Sarah Ansell has been appointed HR manager at the University of Oxford’s Green Templeton College. Ansell joins the college from Advance Housing, where she was HR officer. She will be responsible for providing in-house HR support to the newly merged colleges, and her remit will also include health and safety.
