Outstanding people management for Investors in People accreditation puts P&MM in top 1 per cent of UK firms

by Personnel Today 10 May 2010
by Personnel Today 10 May 2010

P&MM, the award winning Milton Keynes based marketing services agency that specialises in performance improvement, has earned the prestigious Investors in People Bronze award, a status only achieved by 1 in 100 UK companies.

The company has held The Investors in People Standard for over 10 years and this year was aiming to go beyond this and achieve the higher level of recognition.  To attain the Bronze award and to be able to display the Investors in People plaque and logo, P&MM had to provide 26 extra evidence requirements, in addition to the 39 that are required for The Standard.

Michelle Lynch, Group Human Resources Manager, said: “We felt that we were ready to aim higher. The most significant changes that have been implemented and evident this time were in recruitment, reward and recognition with people committed to success having a sense of ownership and pride in working for P&MM”.

David Lebond, Executive Director at P&MM, said: “This is a major achievement for the business and one for which we have worked very hard.  It is a clear demonstration of our commitment to continuous improvement and we look forward to building on this further in the coming years.”

Investors in People is the UK’s leading people management business improvement standard which delivers improved performance to thousands of organisations. It provides tailored assessments designed to support organisations in planning, implementing and evaluating effective strategies, helping them to deliver against their chosen business priorities. Among the main topics assessed by the Investors in People framework are business strategy, learning and development strategy, management effectiveness, recognition and reward, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
