Personnel Today was crowned Online HR Publication of the Year last night at the 2013 Towers Watson Excellence in HR Journalism Awards.

Held at the Mall Galleries in central London, Personnel Today editor Rob Moss collected the award from Chantal Free, director of Towers Watson’s EMEA talent and reward practice (pictured above).

“It’s terrific that Personnel Today has been recognised for the quality of its online content,” said Moss. “It’s testament to the depth of knowledge of the editorial team and their determination to deliver only the most relevant content to HR professionals every day.”

Jim Crawley, award judge and director of Towers Watson’s talent and reward practice, said: “The HR community relies on the media to inform us of new developments, to broaden our thinking through best-practice examples and case studies and to challenge our views on accepted practices.”

Commenting on Personnel Today’s award he added: “With a great balance between user friendliness, technically sound material and interesting practical advice, PersonnelToday.com’s clear web style and design stood out for the judges in its originality and usefulness for HR professionals.”

The annual Towers Watson HR Media Awards – now in their eighth year – attracted 140 entries from 70 journalists working across the national, regional and HR trade media.

Personnel Today’s win comes in the same week that it launches its own awards programme for the HR profession. Organisations and individuals have until 14 June 2013 to enter, with the Personnel Today Awards ceremony taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London on 18 November 2013.
