This demanding, full-time course is taken over the course of one year.
Entry qualifications
Applicants need a good honours degree or equivalent with a significant content of business and/or management studies, including accounting and finance.
Modules
The postgraduate diploma consists of eight modules of study, or participants can choose to do a four-module postgraduate certificate. The core subjects include: industrial relations and organisational behaviour, and either contemporary personnel perspectives or international employment. Other options include: contemporary personnel perspectives, discrimination in employment, HR development, HR strategy, HR consultancy, Japanese management, strategic management perspectives, managing in complexity, and managing innovation.

Career opportunities
This programme will appeal to practising personnel, industrial relations or equal opportunities specialists. The course canbe taken as an MA with an additional research project. Successful completioncan exempt students from parts of the Chartered Institute of Personneland Development’s Professional Qualification Scheme.
