New research claims that 83 per cent of HR managers believe their department has its say in company issues.
But a survey by IT-based HR solutions company Access Consulting reveals that senior HR professionals think a strategic service lacks value.
Only 24 per cent of those questioned think their most valuable service is providing strategic guidance for the business.
And only 7 per cent of project managers questioned think strategy is the most important service they provide.
The survey was carried out in August and contains responses from 75 HR managers and 75 project directors from companies with more than 500 employees.
