Mark Serwotka has been re-elected as general secretary of the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS).

Serwotka said: “My re-election at a time when the union and its members face increasing privatisation and attacks on their jobs, pensions and pay brings continuing stability and added impetus to PCS in meeting the challenges ahead.
“The PCS has become a campaigning union focused on delivering for its members and ensuring their voice is heard. The past five years have at times been difficult and challenging, but [we will be] stepping up our campaigning for decent public services and fair pay and pensions for all.
