RAD Awards 2013 launched

The RAD Awards 2013 website has been launched today, signalling the start of the build-up to the most prestigious awards in the recruitment communications sector.

The awards, which have featured numerous changes over the years to reflect the ever-evolving nature of the recruitment communications industry, include two further innovations this year.

First, there is now one combined award for work in print, replacing last year’s individual print awards for public- and private-sector work.

However, RBI Recruitment Media agency sales director Peter Clarke was keen to stress that this does not mean that print is any less significant. He said: “The RADs still recognise the importance of print. It remains a potent recruitment channel and is well worth entering for.”

The second major development for the 2013 awards is the introduction of an award for candidate experience. Clarke said: “It reflects the demand from the industry, based on feedback from the focus group that we ran again this year. We always make a point of stressing that it’s the industry’s own event, not just something handed down by RBI, and this time candidate experience stood out as something that people were generally very keen to recognise and include.”

The deadline for entries is midnight on Friday 2 November; shortlisted entries will be published around the end of November, with the winners revealed at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 31 January 2013.

Visit the RAD Awards website for more information and to find out how to enter.
