The
£7.5m sex discrimination claim made by Stephanie Villalba against investment
bank Merrill Lynch has been adjourned until 31 August.
Villalba’s
barrister has been taken unexpectedly ill and was unable to attend the tribunal
in Croydon, south London.
The
ex-banker has told the employment tribunal she suffered "intolerable
discrimination" at the City firm. Merrill Lynch denies the allegations and
says Villalba was removed from her post because of financial losses.
