Research snapshot: Internal Communication
The internet is the most potentially powerful corporate communications tool
that an HR director could have, yet poor internal communication is stifling the
delivery of HR messages and company policies at UK-based global organisations.
This is according to research by Vanson Bourne and
video-streaming and distribution company, Forbidden Technologies.
Less than a third of the HR and corporate communications heads surveyed,
however, believe e-mail and the internet are the most effective way of
delivering a message globally. Sixty-four per cent recognised the value of
communicating in a visual, more compelling way, but less than one in 10 firms
currently use streaming video.
