Robinsons wins award for excellence in employee relocation

by Personnel Today 20 May 2010
by Personnel Today 20 May 2010

Every HR manager understands that relocating employees doesn’t only change their job role, but can also totally transform their lifestyle, so it’s important to get it right. The annual Re:locate Awards recognise excellence in relocation and the winners for 2010 have just been announced, with Robinsons  picking up the much-coveted ‘Best Relocation Service Provider of the Year’ award.

The awards, first launched in 2007, are growing year on year, bringing on board more international entries, and attracting more inspirational HR teams and policies, as well as suppliers from new sectors.

The judging panel, consisting of distinguished figures from business, academia and the CIPD, evaluated all nominees on the basis of five key points: Innovation and Achievement, Teamwork and Customer Relations, Leadership, Effective Use of Resources, and Environmental Contribution to Business.

The judges praised Robinsons for a “first-class” entry statement, well supported by a range of excellent client testimonials and succinct examples of processes. They were particularly impressed by the company’s laudable transparency and live access to its ‘Partner Portal’ which provides clients with a line by line breakdown of every cost.

“We strongly believe that openness, honesty and transparency are at the core of everything Robinsons  stands for and why we have been at the forefront of the corporate removals industry for over 30 years,” said Group Sales Director, Rhonda Olsen.

The awards were presented by celebrity host, broadcaster, journalist and author Libby Purves – who described the event as “a well-deserved moment of glory for those who are on the frontline in helping employees and their families to carry on with good lives in new circumstances.”Stepping up to receive the award on behalf of Robinsons were Rhonda Olsen and Business Development Manager, Alistair Murray.

Rhonda said: “We take client relations very seriously – we have a “win-win” ethos whenever we do business, consistently putting the needs of our customers before our own operational needs. To have won such a prestigious award is absolutely fantastic. Our people and their client-focused approach is Robinsons’ greatest asset and I dedicate this award to the entire company who all contribute to ensure we deliver the very best service to our customers.”
