Santas in London are paid more than twice as much as their contemporaries in Scotland.
An Industrial Relations Services study discovered that Santas in shopping centres and department stores in London and the South East are paid around £8 an hour while Scottish Santas are paid less than £4 an hour.
"A lot of bosses did not want to give out any pay details to stop them being labelled scrooge employers," claimed report author Ben Louvre.
