A guest speaker known as ‘The Scary Guy’ has visited a Centrex police training centre in South Wales as part of a multi-agency diversity push.
Covered in tattoos and piercings, The Scary Guy, from Kansas in the US, travels the world in an effort to eliminate prejudice attitudes and behaviours.
His approach to tackling anti-social behaviour takes his looks as its starting point, as they allegedly shock people into an awed state of attention.
Tim Theobold, Centrex Cwmbran’s diversity co-ordinator, said: “The Scary Guy offered a further insight in to the many prejudices in society today and how the power of communication can break down boundaries.
