The
Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA) and the Scottish Executive have signed
an agreement outlining the working relationship between the two bodies, setting
out plans for the development of an effective skills for business network in
Scotland.
Christopher
Duff, chief executive of the SSDA, and Ed Weeple signed the agreement which is
designed to ensure the Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) have a UK-wide focus.
The
SSDA is the body charged with granting licences for the network of employer-led
SSCs, launched to build workforce skills and productivity.
