SHL has moved its recruitment screening out of assessment centres and online
to improve and speed up the whole process.
The psychometric testing firm believes the move has helped it pick the right
candidates for jobs as well as reduce staff turnover.

Personality, literacy and numeracy tests now form part of the initial online
application process. The company has also posted a realistic job description
online to ensure applicants have a clear perception of what the job entails
before applying.
Head of recruitment James Bywater said online testing allows his recruitment
team to spend more time with the best candidates. "Organisations need to
be recruiting the best people and the firms that do this fastest will have an
advantage," he said.
