Smartbox brings together 20 top Michelin restaurants for a tasty ‘Star Dining’ staff incentive

by Personnel Today 16 Dec 2010
by Personnel Today 16 Dec 2010

Smartbox – the international leader in the gift experience market – is teaming up with 20 top Michelin-starred restaurants to launch the Michelin ‘Star Dining’ Smartbox, a unique new promotional gift for use in staff incentive schemes.

The new ‘Star Dining’ incentive will be available through Smartbox Incentives (www.smartbox-corporate.co.uk), the dedicated one-stop consultancy service for companies that want to use themed experiences as a motivational and reward tool.

A company offering the new ‘Star Dining’ incentive will only have to pay the cost of a single reward, but the recipient is actually able to select from 20 different Michelin restaurants throughout the UK and Ireland – from The Harrow at Little Bedwin, Wiltshire … to award-winning Indian restaurant Tamarind in London’s Soho … to the Kinloch Hotel on the Isle of Skye.

The ‘Star Dining’ package also includes other famous ‘must visit’ restaurants such as Gary Rhodes’ Rhodes W1 in London and Casamia, the Italian restaurant in Bristol which recently won Gordon Ramsay’s Best Restaurant Award 2010.

The wide selection of gourmet experiences includes three-course meals and five-course tasting menus created by many of the UK’s top chefs.

Ilona Kogutiuk, head of Smartbox Incentives, says: “Instead of offering a fixed reward, the new ‘Star Dining’ incentive enables employers to offer recipients a personal choice from 20 of the country’s best Michelin restaurants – making it a unique and highly flexible solution.”

She adds: “Studies show that when recipients are able to choose their own reward – which is the unique concept behind Smartbox – the incentive becomes even more personal and motivational. This is especially true when you are giving them an opportunity to try an indulgence they’ve always dreamed of.”

Smartbox Incentives offers a comprehensive advisory service that provides access to over 1300 activities and 15 themed boxes.

The consultancy guides clients through the entire process – from the initial creative concept to meet a client’s brief and budget parameters, through to handling and fulfilment.

Smartbox incentives come in the tangible form of a deluxe presentation box containing a uniquely coded voucher and a glossy guidebook. The quality of the packaging enhances the high perceived value of the gift.

Smartbox gifts typically offer the recipient a choice of up to 200 different options depending on the Smartbox theme – from golfing breaks, adventure activities, escapes and pampering treats, to family excursions and culinary delights. Prices start at only £39.95.

Discounts are available for volume purchases, and deluxe Smartbox presentation packs can be customised with company messages and branding.
