Specsavers Corporate Eyecare today launches its new website, complete with virtual ‘dressing room’ experience at the click of a mouse – with the added safeguard of an in-store fitting. The practical new website aims to make the purchasing of eyecare quicker and more straightforward than ever for HR managers.
The site provides information about all the different eyecare vouchers available to cover obligatory VDU eyecare, safety glasses, optical care, requirements for drivers and additional employee benefits. The site can be explored by either employers or employees, making it easy to find the right level of information regarding regulations, eyecare policies and general eye health. It is even possible to book an appointment online.
The virtual ‘try on’ feature which acts like a digital mirror is expected to be of particular interest to most site visitors. Proving to be both fun and practical, the function allows users to see how they look in over a thousand different pairs of spectacles. Users simply upload a photograph, try on the glasses they like, adjust them to fit, change the colour or view their new look close up. If they do not want to upload their own photograph then they can use a sample face instead. Once a pair of spectacles has been chosen, they can be saved, compared, and printed off to show family and friends for a second opinion before purchase.
