The findings show the public sector is slower to fill vacancies than private
sector companies. Just under half (48.7 per cent) of public service
organisations fill vacancies in two to three months, while only one in five
(20.9 per cent) private sector firms takes that long.
In the private sector, 11.6 per cent of jobs are filled in less than a
month, compared with just 3.8 per cent in the public sector.
