Leading gambling sector lawyer to head up Spin3’s UK operation.

Leading full service mobile gaming solutions provider Spin3, powered by Microgaming, the world’s largest online gaming software provider, has announced the appointment of its first UK-based executive.

Betting and Gaming sector expert Mark Hirschfield is taking up the role of Chief Executive, UK Operations. His appointment signals Spin3’s intention to further establish itself as the leading provider of mobile gaming solutions in the UK.

Formerly of leading law firm Mishcon de Reya, Mark Hirschfield has developed a unique reputation for being a highly entrepreneurial internet lawyer whilst working as a corporate lawyer in Mishcon’s prominent Betting and Gaming Group since its inception in 2004.

Whilst at Mishcons Mark worked as a lawyer in the Group which carried out many of the industry’s landmark online gaming M&A and IPO transactions.

During his legal career at Mishcon de Reya, Mark was the relationship lawyer for Spiral Solutions, Spin3’s parent company, and provided continuity on the company’s legal and commercial issues.

Despite only being 29 years old, Mark has also had entrepreneurial success during his career, having been awarded Student Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999 at the modest age of 19.

In addition to remaining a consultant at Mishcon de Reya, Mark currently holds directorships in a number of online businesses, primarily in the online advertising sector and other directorships in the property and food retail sectors.

Matti Zinder, Head of Spin3, says, “The appointment of Mark Hirschfield is a major coup for Spin3. Mark brings a compelling mix of legal and business experience which we believe can drive our penetration in the UK market. This move is a significant investment in Spin3’s UK operation, and plays an integral part of the company’s global strategy for success in 2008.”

Mark Hirschfield, Spin3’s Chief Executive, UK Operations, says, “Spin3 has a great reputation for leadership and innovation in the sector. My aim is to drive Spin3’s growth into new markets through its ever-expanding portfolio of market leading products. We plan to expand our wireless capabilities to build relationships with UK carriers, and grow our line-up of land-based casinos with OnCash, Spin3’s interactive casino system for land-based enterprises. By expanding into new sectors beyond its traditional customer base, Spin3 can lead the UK mobile gambling market in the years to come.”

Mishcon de Reya will continue to represent Spiral Solutions as their lawyers in the UK.
