T-mobile has stepped up efforts in its corporate social responsibility agenda after the firm introduced a bus-pass incentive scheme for employees to increase their use of public transport.
Staff at the mobile phone giant can shave up to 40% off the cost of an annual bus ticket as part of the salary sacrifice scheme, which deducts payments before tax and national insurance contributions.
Under the programme staff can elect to cover the cost of annual bus ticket via 12 monthly reductions from salary.

Robert Cross, reward manager at T Mobile said: “As a company, our emissions will be reduced as we hope to take more cars off the road. The main benefit for staff will be the reduction on the cost of their season ticket.”
The company has also begun offering travel insurance at competitive rates to staff.
