Totaljobs goes after Scotland and Yorkshire

by Personnel Today 6 May 2008
by Personnel Today 6 May 2008

The UK’s biggest recruitment marketplace totaljobs.com, have brokered a deal, to sponsor the new listen live functionality across GMG Radio’s Smooth, Century and Real stations in Scotland and the Northeast and Northwest of England.

The campaign is an extension of totaljobs’ initial 3 month sponsorship of GCap Media’s One Network website’s which covered the UK as far North as Trent.

The new websites’ tuner page sponsorship is modelled on the recent highly successful campaign and includes co-branding, a pre – roll commercial in local accents and an animated banner.

The sponsorship is set to strengthen totaljobs.com reach through GMG Radio’s station website users in Northern England and Scotland, whilst continuing to support the growing sales office footprint in these areas.

Sophie Relf Head of Marketing for totaljobs.com said:

“Deciding to continue our Partnership with GCap Media was easy; we’ve tested campaign effectiveness and the results are extremely positive. We have built totaljobs.com brand favourability and increased usage consideration by 6% and 10% respectively amongst One Network users.  And of course there is a close fit with GMG brand users and the online jobseeking community which has grown by 1 million to 11.5m this year. The use of rich media, that the sponsorship presents, has enabled us to unlock the potential of our creative and resonate with jobseekers on a deeper level.”

The GMG Radio websites’ sponsorship deal strengthens totaljobs.com’s dominant digital marketing presence on UK search engines and portals; responsible for driving over 2 million unique users that generate more than 950,000 online job applications to over 160,000 jobs every month.

The deal was brokered through Tim Ferris, GCap Media’s Interactive Group Head and Hannah Amess, Group Head Agenda 21 Digital

Tim Ferris commented “This is the natural progression for totaljobs.com within our online network which we know will be as successful as the first campaign”

Richard Lucas, GMG Radio’s Head of Digital Media added, “ This is a fantastic partnership that coincides with the relaunch of our radio stations’ websites, which  include an enhanced web player with upgraded audio streaming technology”.
