Britain’s bid to host the Worldskills 2011 competition is now official.
Skills minister Phil Hope sealed the bid, which is now in the hands of WorldSkills general secretary David Hoey.

An official presentation to the WorldSkills general assembly will be made in Melbourne in May when it will decide between London, Melbourne, Nantes and Gothenburg.
If London has the winning bid the event will cost £22m to stage – £11m of which has been pledged by UK Skills.
