Only
10 per cent of people have their best ideas at work – bed is the place for a
good brainstorm, according to a new survey.
The
poll of 1,000 people by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) found a
third of people believed the best ideas came while in bed.
While
most people believed they were ‘ideas people’, more men found work conducive to
ideas, which the EEDA said suggested women feared failure in the office more
than men.
In
light of the research, the EEDA suggested companies invest in flowers and
plants in the office and reorganise office layouts to promote creativity.
