A brand new, innovative approach to training and development, entitled WOW That’s What I Call Development – Volume 1, has been launched by human resources, recruitment and training consultancy, The Urquhart Partnership.
Karen Reid, Business Development Director, explained: “The creative idea behind the WOW concept was to develop a number of cost effective, bite-sized workshops that are designed to help organisations and their people achieve success, even in the current market conditions.
“Individuals or companies can then create their own customised playlist, just like itunes, that is tailored to their particular development needs.
“Most companies recognise how critical it is to retain and develop staff, particularly during these difficult economic times. However, they often have limited time or budget available to devote to this.
“Each WOW workshop session will be music to their ears as they only take a few hours to complete, which provides the operational benefit that participants are only out of the office for a half day, yet still receive excellent development at a cost of less than £100 per person.”

Each workshop theme is based on a well known song title, including “Stand and Deliver” on presentation skills; “8 Days a Week” on time management; and “J’taime” on achieving excellent customer care.
The Urquhart Partnership will be running open workshops throughout 2009, and also offers bespoke in-house programmes for organisations with higher volume requirements.
