Global Knowledge, one of the largest independent IT training firms, is to
launch its first pan-European virtual classroom e-learning programme, featuring
instructor-led training and remote hands-on labs relayed over the Internet.
The programme, which delivers the live sessions via streaming media, is
available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
Students and tutors at remote locations take part in real time, interacting
with each other, as well as sharing applications.
The classes are recorded and remain available for between one and six
months, so students can refresh their knowledge on certain subjects or catch up
on any study they have missed.

Multinational companies are expected to be the first to recognise the
benefits of the programme because it will allow them to plan, deliver and
manage their e-learning programmes at their European sites.
