The quarterly Recruitment Confidence Index shows almost half of
organisations are planning to increase the size of their workforce in the next
six months.
The survey of nearly 13,000 HR professionals by Cranfield School of
Management and the Daily Telegraph, in association with Personnel Today, shows
that 48 per cent of the organisations surveyed expect to boost the size of
their workforce in the next six months, while 13 per cent are expecting to
reduce the size of their workforce.
Respondents expect the employment of managerial and professional staff to
grow at a higher rate than the previous quarter (14 per cent in autumn 2003),
and they also expect rates for the employment of all staff to grow at a higher
rate (compared with 23 per cent in autumn 2003).
