Reports
of harassment in the workplace appear to be on the increase, according to a new
study.
The
Management Agenda 2002, by Roffey Park, shows that last year almost 4 per cent
of the 300 managers questioned had seen harassment to ‘a great extent’ at their
workplace, compared to the previous year when no respondents reported this
level of harassment.
Lesser
levels of harrassment are similar year-on-year. The report reveals that almost
a fifth of respondents (17.6 per cent) reported ‘some’ level of harassment,
39.7 said they had witnessed it ‘to a limited extent’, while 39 per cent reveal
they had seen no evidence of harassment in their workplace. www.roffeypark.com
