WorkPlace Systems, a leading provider of workforce management software and consulting services, is opening an office in Chicago to support the rapid growth of its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Workforce Management (WFM) solution in North America.

WorkPlace will be marking this success and the official opening of its new office in Chicago, at a reception to be held at the British Consul General’s Residence on the 8th July 2010. A select audience of business leaders and local dignitaries will enjoy an opportunity to network and hear from guest speaker Mike Peerson, Senior Director, Workforce Strategy and Innovation at Wal-Mart Health & Wellness.

WorkPlace Systems is revolutionizing the US WFM market with its SaaS model which includes; Labor Forecasting, Labor Scheduling and Time & Attendance. This solution already has over 100 customers across Europe, Australasia and North America.

WorkPlace Systems SaaS solution focuses on rapidly delivering return on investment through better visibility and utilization of the workforce thereby enabling organizations to establish optimized schedules and track actual attendance against planned schedules.

Viridian Power was one of WorkPlace Systems first North American SaaS customers, they took advantage of the unique speed and flexibility of deployment that SaaS offers at the Winter Olympic Games:-

“WorkPlace OnLine was an essential operational tool for our company throughout the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. The system allowed us to effortlessly and seamlessly schedule our employees across multiple venues, while simultaneously allowing us to increase the number of staff we were scheduling by 500 percent over 3 months with a minimum of additional administrative costs”, commented Joe Domijan, Logistics Coordinator at Viridian Power.

Barney Quinn CEO commented, “WorkPlace Systems is excited to be opening its new office in downtown Chicago; we have made a significant investment and recruited additional staff to service our growing customer base in this location. The success we have enjoyed over the last year demonstrates the appetite for SaaS workforce management and we expect the strong adoption of WorkPlace OnLine to continue”.
