Five steps to winning the HR Supplier Partnership Award

For the second year running, the Personnel Today Awards now feature two categories for HR suppliers to receive the recognition they deserve.

The Consultancy of the Year award is open to entries from consultancies, large and small, to demonstrate their excellence in working with UK employers. Consultants should enter the 2015 Awards by 12 June 2015.

Winner’s profile

Our second category recognises any supplier to the HR profession, from software providers to law firms, recruitment consultancies to training providers. However to qualify, the supplier must be nominated by an employer that is entering one of our other categories.

Here we provide five steps for suppliers wishing to enter the HR Supplier Partnership Award:

1. HR supplier encourages client to enter the 2015 Awards

A supplier encourages one or more of their clients to enter one of 20 categories. Alternatively, with their client’s permission, the supplier can enter on the client’s behalf.

2. Client nominates a supplier

As part of a standard award entry, the employer organisation has the opportunity to nominate a supplier that has been involved in the work relating to their entry. Some lucky suppliers may receive unsolicited nominations!

3. Companies invited to enter HR Supplier Partnership category

On 22 June 2015, all suppliers nominated by entrants to the other award categories will receive an email from Personnel Today inviting them to enter the HR Supplier partnership category.

Suppliers can be any company providing products and services to HR: software providers; training providers; recruitment consultants; advertising agencies; performance management consultants; organisational psychologists; law firms; or any business that provides a service to the HR function of an employer.

4. Suppliers enter before the tight deadline

Unfortunately, suppliers have just four weeks in which to enter. Their entry can include details of any projects over the past year, not just the work they have done for the employers who have nominated them. The deadline is 17 July 2015.

5. Make it the best

And here is the tricky bit, you have got to be brilliant! If you can convey to our expert judges why your work in the HR sector is better than all the other companies entering the HR Supplier Partnership award, then the trophy is yours! More general advice on how to compose a winning entry can be found here.

What to do next…

Find suitable categories here for your clients and then speak to them about entering. With their permission, you can enter on their behalf. Entry deadline: 12 June 2015
