Up to 1,000 jobs could be created in North Lincolnshire after a power firm announced plans to build a renewable energy plant.
Drax Power expects to generate up to 850 jobs during the three-year construction phase and 150 local jobs through direct and contract employment once the dedicated biomass-fired power station is operational.

The proposed Heron Renewable Energy Plant development, which would be based on land at the south west edge of the Port of Immingham, would aim to provide enough renewable electricity to power around 530,000 homes.
It also hopes to save 1.85m tonnes of CO2 each year compared to current emissions.
