Ceridian and Vebnet announce parrtnership to deliver benefits service

by Personnel Today 10 Mar 2009
by Personnel Today 10 Mar 2009

Ceridian, one of the largest providers of human resource services in the world, today announced a strategic partnership with Vebnet, the market-leaders in technology and service provision for employee reward and benefits.

This partnership strengthens Ceridian’s HR outsourcing offering, HRevolution, with a significant revision of the way total reward services are delivered to customers.

Vebnet’s technology is fully integrated within Ceridian HRevolution’s web-based framework helping to centralise employee information and decision making.

With one contract, no forced upgrades and automated data transfers as standard, customers benefit from a simplified user experience with greater transparency of their management data and greater cost control.

The easy-to-use functionality is supplemented with extensive benefits domain expertise, helping customers to effectively design, implement and communicate their benefit strategies and programmes in line with their organisational needs.

As part of the implementation process, Ceridian will also offer a payroll audit and full benefits review to help customers understand the cost and time saving gains through improved process efficiencies.

Doug Sawers, Managing Director at Ceridian, said:

“Often we see the various elements of HR outsourcing approached in isolation. Increasingly, through our work with our diverse client base, we have recognised that there needs to be a greater degree of integration, not just in terms of the technology but also in the consultancy process.

“Our partnership with Vebnet, allows us to incorporate their market-leading technology, leverage their benefits expertise and to blend complimentary user experiences to launch a fully integrated approach to total reward.

The current climate demands more innovation and cost efficiency across all business functions, but as people are inevitably one of the largest organisational expenses, it goes without saying that human resources often comes under greater scrutiny.

Employee engagement is going to be even more crucial in today’s turbulent times and more will be asked of the rewards programme.

Our partnership enables us to drive efficiencies across payroll, HR and rewards, which not only have financial advantages for our customers but also have an impact on the emotional wellbeing of employees, many of whom will be anxious about their own financial security.”

Gerry O’Neill, Vebnet’s Chief Executive Officer said:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Ceridian as the two leaders in our respective industries, to deliver greater value for HR in managing and communicating their employee reward and benefits strategies.  A challenge for any reward and benefits programme is to effectively engage employees in a financially viable way for the business.

“This is even more critical in a recessionary climate. Due to the complimentary framework of our technologies and our experience within the reward and benefits industry we are able to identify substantial financial savings for employers by delivering customised benefit programmes that also help employees to make their money go further.”
